Ingredients
You'll only need 3 simple ingredients for this recipe:
- Toblerone: You'll need 1 large Toblerone which is 360g. I used milk chocolate but you can use dark if you prefer.
- Milk chocolate: Any kind of milk chocolate will do, even the super cheap supermarket-brand chocolate (which is what I usually use for fudge). If using dark chocolate Toblerone, you can switch this out for semi-sweet chocolate. I don't recommend using actual dark chocolate as the fudge may end up a little greasy.
- Condensed milk: You need 397g, which is the standard size of tin in most places. Make sure to use the sweetened version for making desserts. I like Carnation's condensed milk.
Tools and equipment
Aside from the ingredients listed above, you will also need the following to make Toblerone fudge:
- Saucepan: A medium-sized pot or pan to melt the ingredients together in.
- Heatproof bowl: If you prefer to make microwave Toblerone fudge, you can just put the ingredients into a heatproof bowl. Alternatively, you can place the heatproof bowl above a saucepan of boiling water to create a double boiler to melt the fudge in.
- Utensils: You'll need a wooden spoon for mixing and a sharp knife for cutting. A rubber spatula is also a really handy tool to have when spreading the fudge out in the tin, although it's not totally essential.
- 8x8-inch tin: This is the perfect size of tin to use for thick fudge pieces. Although it may look small, this tin will allow you to make 30-40 pieces of fudge.
- Baking paper: To stop the fudge from hardening against the sides of the tin.

How to make Toblerone fudge
Step 1: Line an 8x8-inch tin with baking paper. I like to leave a little bit of baking paper hanging over each edge to make it easier to remove it from the tin once it's set.
Step 2: Chop 360g of milk chocolate Toblerone into small chunks and add it to a saucepan. Break 90g of milk chocolate into pieces and add it to the saucepan with the Toblerone. Then add 1 tin (397g) of sweetened condensed milk.
Step 3: Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir gently until all of the chocolate has melted and the mixture looks glossy.

If you prefer to make Toblerone fudge in the microwave, simply add the ingredients to a heatproof bowl and microwave until the chocolate has melted.
Step 4: Transfer the fudge mixture to your lined tin and spread it evenly into place. If it starts to set and becomes thick, you can press it into the tin using a rubber spatula, which won't stick to it.

Step 5: Put your fudge in the fridge for 2 hours or so, until it becomes firm to the touch. Then remove it from the tin and cut it into squares. You can get 12 extra large pieces or up to 40 smaller pieces- the choice is yours!
Top tips for making fudge
- If you're making your fudge in the microwave, make sure to take it out and mix it every 20 seconds or so. This will stop the chocolate from seizing or burning.
- Milk chocolate Toblerone can be swapped for white or dark Toblerone. If using white Toblerone, switch the milk chocolate for white and use slightly less condensed milk- roughly 330g.
- If your fudge mixture thickens and becomes difficult to spread into the tin, use a silicone spatula to press it down into place. The silicone won't stick to the mixture like a wooden spoon will.
- For an extra clean cut, warm your knife before cutting the fudge. You can do this by dipping it into boiling water and wiping it dry immediately before cutting. Repeat with each cut that you make.
FAQ
This fudge will last for at least 1 week in an airtight container. I recommend keeping it in the fridge for the best texture but also to make it last even longer.
Yes, it can be frozen for up to 3 months. You can either freeze the fudge pieces in an airtight container (separating layers with baking paper to prevent sticking) or you can freeze them solid on a baking sheet and then transfer them to freezer bags.
This can be due to not heating it for long enough or not letting it cool for enough time. Keep it on the heat until it has fully melted and there are no lumps of chocolate left, and put it in the fridge to set for at least 2 hours before you try to cut into it.
You can but if you're using a larger tin you'll probably want to increase the quantity of ingredients too, unless you don't mind thinner slices of fudge. You can alter the ingredient quantities using the servings number slider in the recipe card.
